About the Author

I think it’s only fair to share a bit of background of who I am. My name is Carrie and I live in the UK. I’m currently a film student (although I prefer to write about films than make them) and I have always enjoyed art and attempting to be creative. I’ll try my hand at anything and I love to learn new things continuously.

Things I do, or have done:

I have written, drawn and self-published a number of comics under Sweatdrop Studios.

I have done a number of illustrations which have appeared in books.

I’m new to photography. I shoot with film and mostly old cameras. When people ask me how many cameras I own my attempt to mentally count them is eventually interrupted by the question, ‘why do you need so many cameras?’ Something that needs an answer not much shorter than a lecture to explain.

I have written a short screenplay which was produced into a film.

I used to make my own clothes.

… and crochet toys too.

In 2009 I wrote film reviews for the Cambridge Film Festival Daily.

I hope to be able to focus on more projects soon, hence the desire for this blog.
